This lake is located near Interstate 5, about 20 miles north of the Magic Mountain Parkway exit. Pyramid Lake offers boating, fishing, jet skiing, and picnic areas (including 5 unique sites that are accessible only by boat), and courtesy docks. It’s an excellent spot for outdoor recreation during your Southern California trip.
Overlooking Pyramid Lake in California is the state’s Department of Water Resources’ premier FREE Water Education Visitors Center Vista del Lago. Brimming with information and activities for the kids, learn how Santa Clarita receives its water, and where it comes from. Through interactive displays and a Water Story Theater, our center focuses on the State Water Project, more commonly known as The California Aqueduct. The Facility offers FREE tours to groups, and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except certain Holidays.
