Things to do in Santa Clarita for the Holidays!

Just head on down to Ice Station Valencia during Family Snow Days and you can play in snow, ice skate, drink hot chocolate, meet Frosty and more. It’s just one of the many fun activities and events you can enjoy in Santa Clarita this holiday season.

Looking to spend some quality time with Santa Claus? Make reservations and bring the family down to the Lazy Dog restaurant at the Westfield Valencia Towne Center on Dec. 11. Enjoy arts and crafts and a festive breakfast with Santa himself. Or you can listen to Santa read classic holiday stories and share milk and cookies at the Westfield Valencia Town Center on Town Center Drive. This free, family-fun event will take place on Dec. 18 from 8 am to 10 am. Get there early because seating is limited!

In the mood for a holiday show? The Santa Clarita Master Chorale will perform Handel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 11 at the Santa Clarita Performing featureimage-nutcrackerArts Center. There will also be a carol sing-along and other holiday favorite songs. On Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 the Arts Center hosts the Santa Clarita Ballet, which will put on its 22nd performance of “The Nutcracker.” This timeless ballet includes beautiful costumes, and unforgettable music composed by Peter Tchaikovsky. Join Scrooge and Tiny Tim as the Canyon Theatre Guild performs Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” throughout the month of December.

Make sure to enjoy the sights and sounds of Old Town Newhall, brilliantly decorated for the holidays, including a 23-foot tall Christmas tree in front of the Old Town Newhall Library. On Dec. 17 take the kids to “Scrooge’s Long Night”, an original adaptation of Dickens’ famous tale at the Repertory East Playhouse.

There will be a Chanukah Celebration at Westfield Valencia Town Center on Dec. 28. This festive event, put on by the Chabad of Santa Clarita Valley, will take place near Town Center Drive.
