From Castaic at intersection of I-5 and Lake Hughes Rd., take I-5 north 5.3 miles to Templin Hwy exit. Take Templin Hwy off ramp to end of ramp. Turn left and go 0.1 miles to “T” intersection. Turn right onto Golden State Hwy and go 3 miles to Oak Flats Fire Station sign. Turn left at sign and go 0.1 miles to campground (behind fire station). Open year round and an Adventure Pass is required.

From Los Angeles, Travel N on I-5, merge onto CA 14N toward Palmdale/Lancaster. Travel 11 minutes on 14N and take exit 11 on Soledad Canyon Rd. Bear to the left on exit ramp turn Right at stop sign. Go 8.5 miles on Soledad Canyon Rd. KOA on Left.

Lake Piru is located in Ventura County, in the Los Padres National Forest next to the Sespe Condor Sanctuary. You would never know it floating on the peaceful lake, but it is just a half hour from Santa Clarita. From Santa Clarita take Interstate 5, just north of Magic Mountain, to Highway 126 west to the Piru turnoff.
Lake Piru offers over 200 level tree-shaded camping sites, clean restrooms, free hot showers and fully stocked store to meet most camping and boating needs. Sites are available both with and without hookups. Motor homes, trailers and truck campers are welcome. Activities nearby include hiking, fishing and boat rentals.
