Love is in the air – it must be February! Celebrate Valentine’s Day this year in stunning Santa Clarita, the Gateway to LA. From the weekend before to the day of love itself, there are a number of events happening all over the City for couples to delight themselves in no matter their interests. Plan a sweet getaway with your sweetheart today!
Start your fun-filled day with an early showing of Canyon Theatre Guild’s The Marvelous Wonderettes Dream On, a sensational musical that features 70’s classics such as “I Will Survive” and “We Are Family.” Once you’ve got a groove going, explore more of Old Town Newhall with chocolate-covered strawberry flavored coffee from Honu Coffee’s seasonal specials.
You may even want to treat yourself to shopping, wine tasting and custom charm bracelets at Care Tucker Style House’s Galentine’s Day Party on February 10! And the best part? The night doesn’t end there! Couples – you decide how you want to cap off that special Saturday.
Also, on February 10, have a romantic dinner at the cozy Gilchrist Farm with a farm-fresh meal, archery/axe throwing and more. If lively breweries are more your scene, Lucky Luke Brewing invites you to their Black Hearts Party for cold brews, a tasty on-site food truck and a vendor market full of V-Day gifts!
As for the official day of love, kick it off with a morning hike at any one of Santa Clarita’s trails and open space. Breathe in the fresh air of Placerita Canyon, the wildflowers of Haskell Canyon and a sunrise overlooking the City at Golden Valley Open Space. Refuel afterward with old-school diner food at the popular Way Station Coffee Shop or cinnamon sugar churros and horchata at Fresh XRO Churro Bar.
When you’re ready, head on over to either Newhall Press Room for their four-course Valentine’s Dinner with a $20 deposit per person. Couples can enjoy wine and delicious meals prepared by Chef Sabina and the team! If a flight to France is on your SO and yours bucket list, then you don’t have to travel far. You also have the option of grabbing a Valentine’s Dinner at Le Chene French Cuisine with their special menu of roasted filet mignon, meringue glace au café and much more.
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s with your partner or Galentine’s with the besties, Santa Clarita has something for everyone. Check out more events happening in the upcoming weeks to celebrate this romantic holiday!
