Santa Clarita is continually expanding its shopping offerings, giving its visitors a wide variety of stores to choose for whatever is on their shopping list, from home décor and knick knacks to clothing and accessories.

Day One

Start off a busy day of Southern California shopping with a relaxing breakfast at Tea Elle C Garden Cafe. The restaurant offers over 80 varieties of the highest grade teas from around the globe. Experiment with a new variety and explore the complexities of each brew.  The Tea Gardens also has delicious menu offerings and bakes a variety of scones, tea sandwiches, wraps, pastries and desserts that are the perfect accompaniment to their teas. If you want the full tea party experience, the Tea Gardens offers Afternoon Tea complete with finger sandwiches, scones and sweet desserts.

Love hunting for a treasure? Find it at the Country Antique Fair Mall. The Antique Mall offers genuine antiques ranging from time-period specific furniture to small collectibles, to unique hand-made crafts. You’re sure to find a special little something at this Southern California shopping center to take home and commemorate your time in Santa Clarita.

All of that bargain hunting has likely got you feeling rather peckish. Perk up with a tasty lunch from Rattler’s Bar B Que, Santa Clarita’s favorite spot for mouthwatering barbecue the whole family can enjoy. Choose from Rattler’s wide selection of fresh salads and scratch-made dressings or go whole hog and order mesquite tri-tip or barbecue ribs. Be sure to snap up some of Rattler’s delicious garlic dinner rolls once they arrive at the table because they’ll be gone fast!

Santa Clarita is filled with your favorite shops. Favorites such as Nordstrom Rack, World Market, Home Goods, Marshall’s and Kohl’s are all easily accessible and always provide a good find. Mixed in with the larger stores are some smaller boutiques that are sure to peak your interests as well creating a one-of-a-kind Southern California shopping experience. It’s a great way to spend a relaxing exploring the unique gift shops, family, fine and casual dining, and distinctive charm that Santa Clarita has to offer.

Next, head to dinner at Marston’s. Dine on the freshest breakfasts (the “Best in California” according to the Food Network), lunches, dinners & happy hour specials Tuesdays-Sundays in the dining room, relax at the full service bar or dine on the beautiful outdoor fireplace patio.

Day Two

Rise and shine for another day in our Southern California Shoppers Paradise! Head on over to Neighbarista for some tasty breakfast where everything served is made in-house. Unique items include Mexican hot chocolate creamer to go with Intelligentsia Coffee and Horchata French Toast. Consider ordering the pork belly eggs Benedict with the one-of-a-kind hollandaise sauce.

Once you’re fueled up, you can spend the day at the Valencia Town Center, a premier shopping, dining and entertainment center located in the heart of town. Taking inspiration from the Santa Clarita lifestyle and an appreciation of nature and natural décor, the Shops at the Patios contains green landscapes, outdoor verandas, fountains, koi ponds, fire pits, and sleek seating. You’ll also find a number of open-air stores that provide an exceptional selection of women and men’s apparel, fashion accessories, home furnishings, gourmet cookware, and more. Among the outstanding brands available are J. David’s Custom Clothiers, Michael Kors, Sephora, H&M, White House Black Market, Apple and Pottery Barn.

Stroll Town Center Drive, a pedestrian-oriented “Main Street” located adjacent to the regional mall. Lined by several office buildings with retail and restaurants on both sides, this street offers great shops such as Pottery Barn and Cheesecake Factory. Adjacent to Town Center Drive you will find the traditional indoor shopping center with Macy’s, Express and JCPenney. Shopping in Santa Clarita has never been easier and with a variety of stores to fit your needs, you could easily explore for hours.

Take a break for lunch at any of the delicious Santa Clarita restaurants at Town Center; Wokano for exceptional Asian-Fusion entrees, Lazy Dog Cafe for great sandwiches, burgers and salads, Solita Tacos and devour their specialty tacos and craft margaritas or Lucille’s BBQ for high quality authentic barbeque fare.

Head to the hotel for an afternoon by the pool then head back out for happy hour and a movie! Santa Clarita has some great happy hour specials, and some of the most popular are at the local wine lounges such as Newhall Press Room and Double Trouble Wine Room . Their staff is very knowledgeable and can easily point you to a wine that you’ll love. Just save enough room for popcorn from  Laemmle Theater found in Old Town Newhall. While in Old Town Newhall, you can dine at a variety of specialty dining selections such as Brewery Draconum and Newhall Refinery
