Lucky Luke Brewing Company started off as a hobby for Brian and Samantha Schmitz, who additionally wanted to pay tribute to the founder’s great-grandfather and crafter Luke Hammons.
They would practice garage-brewing in their Palmdale home, a
passion that grew with every cup, before opening their first location in 2015.
Following the success of their Palmdale brewery, the determined duo spread the Lucky Luke name to Lancaster with a brewpub. Aside from having a wide variety of beers on tap, the Schmitz’s also began serving high-quality pub food such as Cali fries and Korean fried chicken sliders to their guests.
In 2021, Lucky Luke announced they would be opening their third location in Santa Clarita, taking over the Wolf Creek Brewery location. Though loved by many in the area, Wolf Creek Brewery co-owner Laina McFerren emphasized that Lucky Luke would fit perfectly in the space by continuing to craft delicious beer. (See article).
With the hard work of their team and guidance of the McFerren’s, Lucky Luke’s Santa Clarita location had their official grand opening in May 2022.
Open seven days a week with a tasting room and indoor/outdoor seating, Lucky Luke Brewing Company instantly became a favorite for Santa Clarita locals and visitors. Anyone visiting can enjoy their rotating tap list which consists of anything from a blonde, an amber, to a triple IPA.
Lucky Luke’s Santa Clarita continues to grow with special events like weekly trivia night, food truck visits with a resident DJ, corn hole tournaments, beer yoga, and a vendor pop-up market.
The beloved brewery also offers cans to-go and can be found all over Santa Clarita in spots like MB2 Entertainment, The Grille at The Cube – Ice & Entertainment Center | Powered by Fivepoint, and more.
Having hit their one-year anniversary this November, Lucky Luke Brewing Company more-than surpasses the long-time dream Brian and Samantha Schmitz held for years: to create a welcoming place for loved ones to not only enjoy good company, but amazing beer that is for everyone.
