Day One

With so many fun and inexpensive activities all over the city–there’s no shortage of things to do in Santa Clarita for you and your family! Save some time and money and enjoy the complimentary breakfast available at many of the local Santa Clarita family friendly hotels. Once the kids are fueled up, they’ll be ready for a day of fun in the city.

Choose from one of our numerous hiking trails around town and get moving while enjoy the captivating views and the fresh air!

Next, be sure to visit MB2 Entertainment. This family fun center offers 7 acres of indoor and outdoor space boasting a plethora of attractions including duckpin bowling, virtual reality, arcade games, laser tag, axe throwing, a golf simulator, mini golf, bumper boats and go karts; a full-service restaurant and a walk-up, grab-and-go counter and bar.

Need to relax from all the adventure?  Spend the afternoon at your hotel pool. Santa Clarita’s temperate weather promises almost year-round pool and jacuzzi time for visitors. It’s fun, free, and the whole family can relax in the heated pool and whirlpool prior to dinner.

A day full of activities will sure make you hungry! Get your money’s worth at Buca di Beppo restaurant located at the Valencia Town Center. Known for their family-style dishes, Buca di Beppo’s authentic Italian cuisine is enjoyed by all. The friendly staff and whimsical atmosphere at this Santa Clarita restaurant are sure to be a hit with the entire family.

Day Two

Start your day with breakfast at Casa Canela which is open for breakfast and lunch where you and your family can enjoy home style breakfasts and Mexican specialties! It’s a family friendly establishment, with friendly servers and a very popular menu.

If your kids are animal lovers, they’ll love the Gentle Barn! Featured on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” for its great atmosphere and excellent care, this animal rescue is a great place to get up close to some of your favorite farm animals. Open every Sunday from 10 a.m.- 2p.m. and home to over 130 animals who are rescued and given sanctuary from abuse. Hug the cows, feed the horses carrots, give the pigs tummy rubs, hold the chickens, pet the goats and sheep, sit under the shade trees and make new friends. it’s a truly unique option among the many things to do in Santa Clarita.  The kids will love being with the animals and you’ll love helping out a great cause. The Gentle Barn is one of a kind.

Hope you brought some Frisbees! Santa Clarita Central Park offers over 100 acres to explore, and includes an 18 hole disc golf course. Stop by a local market and buy some snack items and head to the park to play the afternoon away. If your family is visiting during the summer, you’ll want to stay into the evening and check out the Concerts in the Park series, a great addition to any Southern California travel adventure. Central Park is transformed into a concert venue every Saturday night of the summer, featuring your favorite cover bands! You can stop by Whole Foods or Trader Joes and pack a picnic for dinner, or enjoy the food that’s available for purchase during the concert.

If there’s no concert scheduled for the week of your visit, spend the night at Santa Clarita Lanes! The bowling alley has excellent prices for lanes and shoe rentals. There’s even an arcade and a Vincenzo’s Pizza inside, ensuring your kids will be plenty entertained. Stay late enough and enjoy the Cosmic bowling, with black lights, fun music, and an out of this world bowling atmosphere!
