When it comes to a girls-only weekend, girls just want to have fun! With wine tastings, luxurious spa treatments, fabulous shopping and dining destinations and much more, there’s no better place to toast your best girlfriends than Santa Clarita!

Day One

Any day of fun needs a good breakfast to get things started off on the right foot. Home to a variety of breakfast staples including pancakes, waffles, eggs benedict and French toast as well as 101 different varieties of omelets, there’s a good bet even the pickiest eater will find something to enjoy at the Egg Plantation. Specialty espresso drinks are available to perk yourself up as is a full bar that offers one of the best Bloody Mary’s in town! It’s a good idea to arrive early as this place draws a crowd or better yet meet up for a late brunch!

With a hearty breakfast behind you, you’ll be ready for the drive out to Agua Dulce Winery. The 90-acre winery is one of Los Angeles County’s leading wine producers and you and your friends are bound to have a wonderful time. Agua Dulce Winery also offers gorgeous views at every turn. Bring a picnic while you take in the sights of the picturesque vineyard. Then, if you’re competitive spirit is feeling up to it, get a game of bocce ball going or visit the farm animals.

After an afternoon out enjoying the sunshine you’ll want to return to your hotel to relax. Take a nap or head over to the pool to embrace Santa Clarita’s practically perfect year-round weather!

For dinner, how do tacos and margaritas sound? With great ambiance, big flavor and a long specialty drink menu, Solita Tacos & Margaritas is the perfect place for a girls’ night out! Start your meal off with the popular grilled corn elote appetizer which is a corn cob that has been roasted and topped with butter, chipotle salsa, California chiles, cheese and green onions. For an entree, you’ll have a hard time choosing just one dish as the menu is bursting with delicious flavor combinations and unique takes on traditional Mexican dishes. Perhaps you’d better order one of the restaurant’s signature watermelon margaritas to help the process along a bit?

Day Two

Kick start your morning on one of Santa Clarita’s many trails! The views are worth the climb, we promise! If you want an easy stroll or light hike perhaps Placerita Canyon or Quigley Canyon is what will pique your interest. If you want to want to really get your heart pumping, might we suggest a trek up Towsley Canyon or Haskell Canyon Open Space

After that morning you will need to refuel and fortunately, there’s a gourmet tea house right in town!  Tea Elle C Garden Café serves hearty fresh food and high-grade loose leaf tea carrying over 80 blends of tea, sandwiches, salads, breakfast and lunch entrees, baked goods, and afternoon tea in a tranquil and casually elegant setting. Served all day, Afternoon Tea includes a choice of three finger sandwiches, a homemade scone with clotted cream and three assorted desserts. An insider tip: be sure to order a second scone because once you’ve taken a bite, you won’t be interested in sharing.

For the afternoon, head on over to Old Town Newhall, the City’s premier Arts and Entertainment District, which is an eclectic shopping, dining and entertainment destination that mixes rustic charm with cosmopolitan appeal. There’s wine tasting and breweries mixed in around the shops and restaurants too!
