Santa Clarita is buzzing with exciting new developments, making it an even more compelling stop for visitors.
A dazzling nighttime display at Central Park called River of Lights features more than 100 LED lights embedded along stairways and plazas, creating a fluid, color-shifting “river” effect that comes alive after dark–perfect for an evening stroll, family photos or exploring the surrounding trails.
Meanwhile, the William S. Hart Park and Museum is now officially part of the City’s park system, offering more than 160 acres of Western heritage, scenic hiking trails and the historic mansion museum of William S. Hart, immersing visitors in Santa Clarita’s cowboy past.
For recreation fans, the soon-to-open Rink Sports Pavilion at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex promises a versatile space for roller skating, basketball, volleyball and DJ-led community events with a commercial kitchen, party areas and more.
Outdoor adventurers will love the transformation of Haskell Canyon Open Space into a premier cycling destination. This 720‑acre mountain biking park is expected to feature over 15 miles of trails, skills zones and downhill jump lines, positioning Santa Clarita as a go-to destination for riders of all levels.
Six Flags Magic Mountain has announced major updates to its existing kids zone, Bugs Bunny World, which will be reimagined as Looney Tunes Land. Debuting in summer 2026, the new family-friendly area will feature beloved characters throughout. The refreshed area will evoke the warm, nostalgic style of the Chuck Jones era of Looney Tunes, with four distinct areas inspired by classic characters.
The introduction of Looney Tunes Land will coincide with the park’s 55th anniversary and represents the second project in a multi-year investment in the park.
